.EXA is the brand new alias created by Toronto born music producer Eva Shaw. .EXA is the darker side of Eva’s persona - blending big room EDM with a fresh take on techno and acid inspired sounds.
Eva is known for her wild and unapologetic approach to art. Her fans spread across genres as she is not only an electronic DJ and artist, but she also produces and writes successful Hip-hop and pop records. She has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Ludacris, David Guetta, and Wyclef Jean, and with hundreds of millions of streams to her name, it is no surprise that Eva has been recognized as a Billboard Dance #1 charting artist.
Standing as one of Toronto’s most exciting up-and-coming artists, her records enjoy regular plays at the Toronto Raptors’ basketball games as well as on a variety of global radio stations the likes of Hot97 NYC, z1035 Toronto, and FLOW 987 Toronto(formerly FLOW 935).Delivering a consistent stream of music that exists to further her flourishing discography, Shaw is a firm favourite for Spotify and Apple Music’s editorial playlists, such as New Music Friday (in 11 countries) as well as millions of fan playlists. After the success of her 10 million+ streamed debut album “SOLO” in late 2022, Eva has been featured on some the globe’s most authoritative publications. Outlets such as Complex, Vogue, Lyrical Lemonade, who describe her as, “one of the best multi-genre hitmakers in the entire industry” , and Billboard who labelled her as an “emerging act you should know” have praised her for her unique production style.
Pitchfork also supported the project upon release, and Eva landed a huge LED Billboard from Spotify Canada, placed in Downtown Toronto. "SOLO" debuted at #27 on the NACC charts amongst legendary hip-hop artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Gunna. Eva releases an ongoing “Hype Hop” remix EP series where she remixes her own hip-hop records into dance. She has continued support in the dance world, with recent guest DJ mixes on Sirius XM including on “Insomniac
Radio” (Electric Daisy Carnival) and Pitbull’s “Globalization Radio”. Eva has been itching to revisit her Big Room roots, so in late 2023 she created “.EXA” as her EDM persona. Her first release was on Skink Records, entitled, “Lose Your Mind”, with a follow up collaboration with Showtek in January 2024 entitled “Sugar”. .EXA is already prepping to release on Hardwell’s ‘Revealed’ label, as well as upcoming collaborations with established DJs such as Timmy Trumpet.
